Day 1!

• In the first 2/3 of the day, the cute little baby chick starts to look like a chick embryo-or a chick in a big sac!


• Ever wonder where a chick’s food goes? In just 18 hours, you can see the tube that the chick’s food goes down after he eats it.

• Have you ever noticed that there’s a bumpy bone going down the middle of your back? That’s called your spine. You can see the baby chick’s spine in just 20 hours!

• Have you ever touched a hot stove or oven and pulled your hand back right away? That’s because of your nervous system, your nerves. In 21 hours, the chick’s nervous system and nerves begin!

• In 22 hours, the chick’s head begins to grow.

• In the last hour of the day, at 24 hours, the chick’s eyes begin to grow!
